About the Cooperative

Hazelnut Growers of Oregon is the only hazelnut cooperative in the United States. Founded in 1984, HGO has more than 150 growers and more than 7,500 acres. We are the largest processor and handler of Oregon Hazelnuts. HGO provides grower services, such as orchard inspections, soil samples, advice on pruning, spraying, and harvesting, just to name a few. As a cooperative, all the profits earned by the company are distributed to its members. Historically, the HGO members have received more profit for their crops than the rest of the industry. HGO has a strong commitment to its customers, employees and grower members.
